Job summary

Hancock Whitney is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Teller to deliver accurate client service across deposits, withdrawals, and everyday banking needs. You will balance cash, process transactions, and promote digital solutions while prioritizing risk awareness and regulatory compliance.

You will engage customers in person and by phone, support branch operations, and refer customers to colleagues for financial products and services.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
6 months of cash-handling, retail, or teller experience required.
Previous sales and referral experience strongly preferred.
Must comply with all applicable banking laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional client interactions emphasizing accuracy, speed, and risk mitigation.
Handle client needs: deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, card/loan payments.
Respond to servicing requests with product and procedural knowledge.
Build and grow client relationships through in-person and outbound calls.
Educate clients on digital banking solutions to promote self-service adoption.
Refer clients to internal partners as needs are identified.
Support financial center operations, including opening/closing and balancing.
Uphold risk management, compliance, and security standards.
Manage lobby flow, greet clients, and direct traffic.
Perform research, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
