Qualifications

• ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk, hear, and smell.
• Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
• Ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more.
• Ability to identify and/or distinguish colors.
• Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals (e.g. cleaning agents).
• Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly rounds of the facility, document facility conditions, and complete head count.
• Review facility census at tours and relay to funding source as required.
• Monitor sign in/out procedure for all clients.
• Initiate emergency follow-up when clients are late or absent without authorization.
• Conduct orientation for new clients including rules, intake, fire safety and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate meal distribution and address any meal distribution issues.
• Inventory client personal property upon program termination.
• Monitor medication and document in the Medication Log.
• Schedule and document medical appointments and logs for clients.
• Ensure completion of assigned client chores and maintenance of supplies.
• Conduct inspections and contraband searches per policies; conduct random searches.
• Ensure visitors sign in/out with purpose in the Visitor's Log.
• Log phone calls and respond to inquiries per policy.
• Conduct monthly fire drills and complete documentation.
• Perform regular fire/safety checks and coordinate repairs.
• Make daily log entries with date/time and signature.
• Transport and/or escort clients as directed.
• Document disciplinary or special incidents and submit forms.
• Provide support to case management.
• Fulfill training agreements for core programs.
• Notify Food Service of meal count and receive food.
• Interact with clients, staff and community members with respect.
• Maintain client and staff confidentiality.
• Attend staff meetings, supervisory conferences and training sessions.
• Complete any duties assigned.
