Job summary

Samford University seeks an entry-level role responsible for maintaining and supporting classroom technologies, including projection and audio systems. You will train faculty and staff in the use of these technologies and collaborate with the Enterprise Technology Support team on ongoing projects.

The position is 40 hours per week with occasional nights and weekends as needed. Prior exposure to Zoom/Teams or related tools is advantageous. Training will be provided on the job.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months of full-time work experience or computer-related coursework.
• General knowledge of computer operation and support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain classroom projection and audio systems; troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Determine replacement status of classroom technologies and advise accordingly.
• Coordinate with vendors for installation or repair costs.
• Assess classroom technology needs with faculty and staff.
• Provide training and support on computer and classroom technologies.
• Support schools and departments with other classroom technologies (software installs, desktop support).
• Provide reports on classroom technology needs and requests.
• Stay current on trends in classroom technologies.
