Job summary

Sonoma State University seeks a Classroom Technology Support Specialist to maintain and support classroom technologies across campus general assignment rooms. You will work with CTET, Academic Affairs, and IT to ensure access to systems, data, and applications.

Under supervision, you will provide Tier I help-desk support and lead workshops for faculty on educational technology tools like Canvas, Zoom, Panopto and ChatGPT, while coordinating with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, educational technology, communications, or related field or similar certified coursework.
• Three years or the equivalent of working experience with classroom technology systems is highly preferred.
• High proficiency with standard office productivity software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and knowledge of Mac OS X and Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for classroom technologies (Tier II) and collaborate with campus partners to maintain systems.
• Lead workshops and trainings for faculty on technical and pedagogical topics.
• Provide basic support (Tier I) at CTET's help desk and consult on special projects when needed.
