Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) is seeking an Overhead Distribution Lineman – A Class to join our Western Kentucky team. The role covers energized and de-energized line work, pole climbs, and installation of transformers and distribution equipment, with on-call duties after hours.

Candidates must have four years of experience or equivalent, a valid State Driver License and a valid Class A CDL, plus OSHA 10-hour training.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience or equivalent hours.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State Driver License.
• Must have a Valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.
• Pass criminal and MVR background checks and drug screen.
• Work outdoors in diverse terrain and all weather conditions.
• Completion of OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of electrical line work methods and equipment.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in varied weather.
• Read and record data from meter dials and operate service trucks.
• Respond to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and new jobs.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure safety standards for crew.
