Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! We employ 200 company drivers who keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. Our fleet features safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together we can get things done.

Equipment

- 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Volvo is considered the safest truck on the road, optimized with ergonomically designed seats and perfectly positioned steering. Features include 70" L /96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger-than-average built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with built-in manual power inverter (3500W), dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales on trucks and trailers, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site repair facility and wash bay for maintenance and cleaning.

Pay

- Starting pay ranges from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layovers, and other circumstances varies by load and hours. Average weekly pay is between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. You get paid for work completed the same week, with no hold.

Home Time

- Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days in our running area. Some areas may allow longer runs with up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon prior to hiring and will be documented in writing. Drivers can notify dispatch of their home time needs. While drivers do not accrue days off weekly, we accommodate special events and appointments when possible.

Loads & Routes

- 98% of freight originates in Missouri. Over 55% is drop and hook; the rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We primarily operate dry van (palletized) and reefer (temperature-controlled) trailers, avoiding slaughterhouses, fresh meat, ports, and borders. Most freight runs through the US middle corridor, on major highways, with no dedicated routes. Freight is mostly contracted, with some load types including dry van and reefer. Fueling is available at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Rider Policy

- One passenger aged 12 or older, available from day one.

Canine Policy

- $500 fee per pet; allows 2 small dogs or 1 large dog. Deduct $100 weekly until paid off. Policy is non-refundable once the pet is in the truck. Changes to the canine are permitted. No policies for cats, reptiles, or birds.

Requirements
