Job Description

Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! 200 Company drivers keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. We use safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features. Enjoy high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together we can get things done.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks with ergonomic seats, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site repair facility and wash bay available.

Pay

Starting pay from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layover, and other factors. Average weekly pay between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. No holdbacks.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days if within our running area. Some areas may allow longer stays with up to 4 days off. Home time is confirmed in writing prior to hiring and can be adjusted for special events or appointments.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in MO, with over half being drop and hook. The fleet transports dry van and reefer loads mainly in the US middle corridor. No NY City, no ports, no borders. No dedicated routes; drivers run a mix of contracted freight on major highways, with some fueling at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Additional Policies

Rider policy allows 1 passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1. Canine policy permits 2 small dogs or 1 large dog, with a $500 fee and weekly deduction until paid. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
