About Climate Express

Climate Express has been transporting full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. Our team of 200 company drivers ensures families across America receive essential household goods. We operate safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and reliable home time. We are a team, strong and dedicated to getting things done.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760 trucks, automatic transmission. Features include ergonomically designed seats, perfect steering position, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units with a 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat screen TV mounts, satellite radios, and right-way scales on trucks and trailers with Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. Maintenance is supported by an on-site repair facility and wash bays.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55 to .58 cents per mile, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional compensation includes detention, layover, and other load-specific pay. Average weekly earnings are between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. There are no holds on pay.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days in our operating area. Some drivers may have longer periods out, with up to 4 days off, depending on their location. Home time is agreed upon in writing before hiring and can be adjusted for special events or appointments.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over half being drop-and-hook. The rest involves one pick-up and one drop. We primarily operate dry van and reefer trailers, avoiding ports, borders, and New York City, with most routes in the US middle corridor. No dedicated routes; drivers use major highways and Pilot/Flying J fueling points.

Benefits

Company contributions for medical and dental, free vision and life insurance, paid vacations, and a 401K plan with employer matching.

Rider & Canine Policies

One passenger aged 12 or older is allowed from day one. Pet policy allows two small dogs or one large dog for a $500 fee, with weekly deductions until paid off. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.

Requirements

At least 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience, no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years. Veterans and women are encouraged to apply as a second chance employer.
