Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking Line Drivers to safely haul freight trailers between terminals and meet points, primarily during evening and overnight hours. The role centers on driving, hooking and unhooking trailers, with no freight handling required.

You are paid by mileage with rates from $0.67–$0.76 per mile, plus $0.03 per mile for triples, and hourly pay from $28.87 to $32.64 depending on experience and location. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K match, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean driving record; no DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug screen in last 3 years.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently tractor trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapting to challenging conditions like inclement weather and various road conditions.
• Ability to meet the Company’s reliability standard for employees.
• Ability to chain as needed and to work in inclement weather is required.
• Availability to work weekends and/ or nights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Line Driver:

Responsible for safely transporting freight trailers between terminals or designated meet points, primarily during evening and overnight hours. Duties focus on driving and hooking and unhooking trailers; no freight handling is required.

Competitive Mileage Pay:

• Earn between $0.67 to $0.76 per mile. Plus, you get an extra $0.03 per mile for triples.
• Get compensated for every drop, hook, CHAINING, and fuel.
