Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is hiring a Line Driver to operate tractor trailers on local and regional routes with home daily opportunities. Experience with doubles/triples and chaining is preferred. You must meet DOT/industry safety standards and maintain a clean driving record.

The role requires Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements, and at least one year of verifiable driving experience. Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available to you and your family.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean driving record with no DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 years.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapt to challenging conditions like inclement weather and road conditions.
• Meet the company’s reliability standard for employees.
• Ability to chain as needed and work in inclement weather.
• Be available to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Competitive Mileage Pay

• Earn between $0.67 to $0.76 per mile. Plus, you get an extra $0.03 per mile for triples.
• Get compensated for every drop, hook, CHAINING, and fuel.
• We value your time and pay you for your wait time.
• Hourly pay $28.87 to $32.64 DOE.

Responsibilities
