Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is seeking a Line Driver for local and regional routes, primarily evening and overnight shifts. The role focuses on tractor-trailer operation, hooking/unhooking, and safe transport between terminals or meet points with no freight handling required.

Compensation includes mileage pay ($0.67–$0.76 per mile, plus $0.03 per mile for triples), drop/hook pay, and hourly pay ($28.87–$32.64 depending on experience).

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean driving record with no DUI or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 years.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and speaking.

Line Driver: Responsible for safely transporting freight trailers between terminals or designated meet points, primarily during evening and overnight hours. Duties focus on driving and hooking and unhooking trailers; no freight handling is required.

Competitive Mileage Pay:

• Earn between $0.67 to $0.76 per mile. Plus, you get an extra $0.03 per mile for triples.


• Get compensated for every drop, hook, CHAINING, and fuel.

• Hourly pay $28.87 to $32.64 doe.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to chain as needed and to work in inclement weather is required.


• Availability to work weekends and/ or nights if needed.

Requirements:

• At least 21 years old


• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
