Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver for the Evening Shift to join our regional line driver team. Earn mileage pay ($0.67–$0.76/mi, +$0.03/mi for triples) plus hourly pay ($28.87–$32.64/hr, DOE). Requires Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements and DOT Medical Certification.

Candidates must have at least one year of verifiable CDL experience, a clean driving record, and strong communication skills. Weekend/night availability preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• Minimum of one year of verifiable commercial driving with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer between terminals or meet points.
• Adapt to weather and road conditions.
• Meet the company reliability standards for employees.
• Chain as needed and work in inclement weather.
• Willingness to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Competitive Mileage Pay:

• Earn between $0.67 to $0.76 per mile. Plus, you get an extra $0.03 per mile for triples.
• Get compensated for every drop, hook, CHAINING, and fuel.
• We value your time and pay you for your wait time.
• Hourly pay $28.87 to $32.64 doe.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently tractor trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapting to challenging conditions like inclement weather and various road conditions.
• Ability to meet the Company’s reliability standard for employees.
• Ability to chain as needed and to work in inclement weather is required.
• Availability to work weekends and/ or nights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 21 years old
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Must have a clean driving record. No DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 years.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.
