Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is seeking a Line Driver to operate tractor-trailer units between terminals and meet points across our regional network. You will be paid mileage and hourly rates with additional drops, chaining, and fuel compensation.

Expect hourly pay in the upper $20s to mid $30s per hour with potential weekend and night shifts. Benefits include medical/dental/vision plans, PTO, and a 401K match. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Clean driving record with no DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 years.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Must have a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate tractor-trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapt to inclement weather and varying road conditions.
• Meet the Company's reliability standard for employees.
• Chain as needed and work in inclement weather is required.
• Availability to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competitive Mileage Pay:

• Earn between $0.70 to $0.78 per mile. Plus, you get an extra $0.03 per mile for triples.
• Get compensated for every drop, hook, CHAINING, and fuel.
• We value your time and pay you for your wait time.
• Hourly pay $29.98 to $33.57 doe.

Requirements:

• At least 21 years old
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Must have a clean driving record. No DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 years.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Medical, dental, vision - You choose which plan suits you and our family.
• Employee pays up to 2% of gross income.
• Employee and Family pays up to 4% of gross income.
• 401K match of 100% on the first 5% contribution.
• Accrue 80 hours of PTO within the first 11 months.
