Job summary

QXO in Raleigh, NC is seeking a CDL Driver (Class A) to safely transport building materials to customer locations and job sites. This role combines driving with hands-on loading, unloading, and site inspections in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

You will inspect loads, communicate with the dispatcher, and uphold safety by wearing PPE and following procedures. A minimum of 12 months of verifiable driving experience and a Class A CDL are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
