QXO in Garner, NC is seeking a CDL Driver (Class A) to safely transport building materials to customer locations and job sites. This role combines driving with hands-on loading, unloading, and securing loads while following DOT/FMCSA regulations.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and able to work outdoors in all weather. Requires 21+ years, a valid Class A CDL, 12 months of verifiable driving experience, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
