Job summary

QXO in Winterville, NC is hiring a CDL Driver (Class A) to transport building materials to customer locations and job sites. The role combines driving with hands-on loading and securing of loads, while maintaining safety and DOT/FMCSA compliance.

Ideal candidates are safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment. Requirements include 21+, valid Class A CDL, and 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks and load verification.
• Pre-inspect the truck and verify the load.
• Notify branch of hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and ensure safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and safety procedures and wear PPE.
