Job summary

Gallagher Bassett in Illinois is seeking a senior Workers' Compensation claims leader to supervise a team, drive efficiency, and uphold GB’s Best Practices across diverse cases. The role offers remote eligibility and collaboration with a national network.

You will hire and train adjusters, coordinate with carriers and brokers, ensure compliance across multiple states, and mentor talent while delivering accurate, empathetic service to clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years related claims experience.
• Licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled.
• Knowledge of all team member related functions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a Workers' Compensation claims team to handle a varied caseload with high quality and efficiency.
• Promote Best Practices and guide teams in line with GB’s standards.
• Drive talent: hiring and training of adjusters and fostering a culture of performance.
• Define team goals, motivate performance, and manage workloads for optimal efficiency.
• Harness Gallagher’s technology to improve team efficiency and service quality.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers professionally and proactively.
• Identify coaching opportunities and develop team members for future roles.

Overview

• Claims Background: 10+ years of related claims experience handling workers compensation
• Prior leadership experience: Minimum of 2 years prior leadership/people management experience in a claims environment required
• Jurisdictional experience: Michigan, Indiana
• Licenses: Must be licensed in states being handled or reciprocal.
• Location: This role is eligible for fully remote work.

About You

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma

Minimum of 10 years related claims experience

Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled

Knowledge of all team member related functions
