Total Quality Logistics in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Claims Specialist to oversee claims validation, payments, insurance and carrier collections. You will develop processes, ensure timely payments, and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

You should have 2+ years in claims or related fields, with a track record of organized, detail-oriented work and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• 2+ years of experience in claims, insurance, fraud or related field.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Strong, independent decision-making skills while maintaining relationships with the sales department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee an efficient and timely customer claims payment process.
• Develop and maintain a specific process and set of consistently applied routines governing how we manage and support Customer Payments, Insurance & Carrier Collections.
• Coordinate and ensure timely processing of claims payments, insurance denial reviews, and carrier collection activities.
• Maintain and share claims risk management trends as a result of our claims experience with Operational Sales-Claims Prevention team for consideration/communication.
• Serve as a key senior support role with the Claims Supervisor, acting as a backup as needed to assist in supervisory-related task/duties.
• Manage a subset of more difficult Claims, as needed/assigned by the Claims Supervisor.

About the role

As a Claims Specialist with TQL, you will be responsible for overseeing claims validation, payments, insurance & carrier collections on behalf of the team while managing an evolving portfolio of claims. You will be expected to be thoroughly knowledgeable in cargo claim law and have an understanding in how to file proper claims with Insurance Adjusters and Underwriters in a way that maximizes the coverage provided by insurers. The role requires the Claims Specialist to strive to resolve claims, a high degree of claims industry knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain TQL’s reputation of professionalism and integrity when dealing with internal and external parties in sensitive situations.
