Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to manage planning, design, and construction of civil projects. You will oversee activities, coordinate resources, and drive collaboration across teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership and client relationships in a growing pipeline. The ideal candidate holds a PE license, 5+ years of civil engineering and site development experience, and strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• PE license required, ability to obtain additional state licenses.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience in a firm.
• 5+ years of site development design experience.
• Proven project management and client relations experience.
• Hands-on contributor while leading the Engineering function.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction plans, feasibility reports, cost estimates, and drainage reports with limited supervision.
• Coordinate with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit applications.
• Prepare grading plans, profiles, road design, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research regulatory requirements and design standards.
• Perform detailed calculations for storm water facilities and roadway improvements.
• Collaborate with drafters and staff to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Develop site plans for large and small developments and master planned communities.
• Update spreadsheets, task lists, and internal program materials.
• Support project administration: numbering, billing reports, contracts, and invoices.
• Attend meetings and take notes; communicate project updates.
