Job summary

Core States Group seeks a Senior Civil Project Engineer to lead a design team through all phases of civil projects from conception to completion, including site layout, grading, and stormwater management.

You will coordinate with Architects, MEP, Structural Engineers, and Construction Project Managers, produce construction documents, and ensure compliance with codes while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• P.E. license in Civil Engineering required.
• 8+ years of site/civil production experience, preferably with commercial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Experience with Civil3D and design software (TR-20, TR-55, HEC-1, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Civil Engineering Designers and Project Engineers.
• Coordinate with Architects, MEP Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Construction Project Managers.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts and change orders with clients and sub-contractors.
• Design full site plans or with little direction and guide project development.
• Conduct site visits, prepare reports, and maintain budgets and schedules.
• Prepare design calculations and construction documents compliant with codes.
