Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Senior Civil Project Engineer to oversee a design team and manage civil projects from conception to completion. You will oversee site layout, grading, and drainage while coordinating with architects, MEP, and other engineers to deliver compliant construction documents.

You will mentor staff, engage clients, and manage budgets and schedules across multiple phases, with a hybrid work option in offices across WA, OR, CA, TX and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• P.E. in Civil Engineering required.
• 8+ years of site/civil production experience, preferably on commercial projects.
• AutoCAD and MS Office required.
• Experience with Civil3D required.
• Ability to identify practical uses for AI tools to improve processes.
• Ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Civil Engineering Designers and Civil Project Engineers.
• Engage with clients throughout projects.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants.
• Assist in contracts and change orders with clients and sub-contractors.
• Design full site plans or with minimal direction.
• Conduct site visits and prepare reports and recommendations.
