Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to oversee planning, design, and construction of diverse civil projects. You will ensure delivery on time and within budget while collaborating across teams to achieve quality outcomes.

The role requires a PE license, 5+ years in civil engineering, and strong AutoCAD Civil 3D capabilities. This is a hybrid position based in WA with opportunities for remote candidates in WA. Join a values-driven firm with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; ability to obtain additional states as needed.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience in an engineering or construction firm.
• 5+ years of site development design experience.
• Proven track record of successful project management and client relationship management.
• Direct hands-on leadership while guiding the Engineering function as SME.
• AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency including grading tools, alignments, profiles, corridors and surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction plans, feasibility reports, cost estimates, drainage reports and other documents with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit applications.
• Prepare grading plans, profiles, road design and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research regulatory requirements and design standards.
• Perform detailed calculations for stormwater facilities, utilities and roadways.
• Collaborate with drafters, designers, and staff to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Develop site development plans for residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects.
• Update and manage spreadsheets, task lists, memos, and internal program materials.
• Support project administration by setting up numbers, organizing billing, tracking contracts and invoices.
• Participate in meetings to review updates and capture notes.
• Other duties as assigned.
