DEPCOM Power is hiring a Civil Estimator to join our team supporting solar and battery energy storage projects. The role involves developing detailed estimates, refining estimating templates, and collaborating with business development, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure competitive pricing.

The candidate will work with takeoff tools and estimating software, contribute to risk mitigation, and participate in pre-bid discussions. Remote work within the U.S. is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy civil construction, estimating, construction management, and/or project management.
• Knowledge of cost estimating practices and estimating software such as InEight or similar platforms.
• Experience using takeoff software such as Bluebeam, AgTek, or similar tools.
• Understanding of earthwork, foundations, roads, drainage and site development activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, detailed project estimates for solar and BESS projects.
• Refine civil estimating processes and templates to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain estimating tools, historical cost data, and productivity assumptions.
• Prepare project cost estimates aligned with RFP requirements for utility-scale projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate opportunities and optimize costs.
• Identify project risks and support mitigation strategies.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and estimate reviews.
• Conduct site visits as needed to improve estimate quality.
