Job summary

Halff is seeking a Land Development Intern for our Dallas, TX office. The role focuses on the design and construction observation for roadways, drainage, site work, and related civil improvements.

The internship runs from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027 and offers exposure to public parks and trails projects. You will design under a Professional Engineer, assist with plans and estimates, perform CAD drafting, calculations, and permit work, while coordinating with surveyors, architects, and

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Assist in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water/Wastewater, Public Works, and Land Development projects
• Perform drafting CAD work
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
• Assist in preparing permit applications and regulatory documents
• Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
