Job summary

Halff is seeking a Land Development Intern for our Dallas, TX office. The Civil Engineer Intern will assist with design and construction observation on public and private infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage, site work and parks.

The internship runs June 7 to August 13, 2027. Interns are paid hourly, work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8am-5pm, and housing is not provided.

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water/Wastewater, Public Works, and Land Development projects
• Perform drafting CAD work
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

Land Development Intern

Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Land Development team in our Dallas, TX office. The Civil Engineer Intern should be interested in the design and construction observation for a wide range of public and private infrastructure projects. Projects include, yet are not limited to roadways, drainage systems, civil site work and associated civil improvements in land development as well as public parks and trails facilities. The Internship will begin on June 7th, 2027, and conclude on August 13th, 2027.

What you will do
