Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Land Development Intern for our Frisco, TX office to support design and construction observation for infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage, and site development.

The internship runs from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, full-time at 40 hours per week. You will design civil engineering projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, assist in preparing plans and cost estimates, perform drafting CAD work, and coordinate with surveyors,

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong relationship-building and collaborative abilities.
Self-motivated with solid organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water/Wastewater, Public Works, and Land Development projects.
Perform drafting CAD work.
Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.
Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
