Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Land Development Intern for our Frisco, TX office to support design and construction observation for infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage, and site development.

The internship runs from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, full-time at 40 hours per week. You will design civil engineering projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, assist in preparing plans and cost estimates, perform drafting CAD work, and coordinate with surveyors,

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and collaborative abilities.
• Self-motivated with solid organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water/Wastewater, Public Works, and Land Development projects.
• Perform drafting CAD work.
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.

Land Development Intern

Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Land Development team in our Frisco, TX office. The Civil Engineer Intern should be interested in the design and construction observation for a wide range of public and private infrastructure projects. Projects include, yet are not limited to roadways, drainage systems, civil site work and associated civil improvements in land development as well as public parks and trails facilities. The Internship will begin on June 7th, 2027, and conclude on August 13th, 2027.

What you will do:

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water/Wastewater, Public Works, and Land Development projects
• Perform drafting CAD work

What you will need:

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
