Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join a project team and support engineering and design duties under supervision. This role offers hands-on experience in medium/high-voltage infrastructure and substation construction in a climate-controlled office with site exposure.

You will learn standards (NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC, ACI), develop drawings, and gain practical knowledge at project sites, traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• Power sector internship experience preferred.
• Knowledge of design codes and standards is beneficial.
• Ability to work under supervision and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating or modifying civil and structural design documents.
• Support wind load calculations and structural analysis.
• Learn and apply engineering standards (NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC, ACI).
• Travel to job sites for hands-on training.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of your work.
