Job summary

SmithGroup’s Milwaukee office is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team and work on integrated design projects with landscape architecture, urban planning and surveying.

The role involves developing site design drawings in AutoCAD and Civil3D, performing preliminary calculations, compiling data, and editing specifications while receiving mentorship from experienced engineers. It offers hybrid work options and a 12-week, May–August internship with an hourly rate of $24–$25.

Qualifications

• Completed at least their sophomore year or graduate standing in an accredited civil engineering program by the time of the internship.
• Some experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

The Milwaukee office of SmithGroupis looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team.

Working with us, you will:

• Work on integrated design teams with landscape architecture, urban planning, and surveying.

An ideal candidate has:

• Completed at least their sophomore year or have graduate standing in an accredited civil engineering program by the time of the internship.
• Some experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS and the Microsoft Office Suite.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $24.00 to $25.00per hour, at the time of posting. You are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a work week.
