The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is seeking a Civil Engineering Group Manager to lead our civil/site development portfolio across the Midwest from the Columbus, OH office.

The role combines hands-on design with team leadership, mentoring engineers, and ensuring project excellence. You will oversee design execution, staffing, client relationships, and collaboration with a broad range of services including surveying, environmental, geotechnical, and transportation disciplines.

Qualifications

• Lead civil engineering team for land development and commercial site design.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, and budgets across multiple projects.
• Mentor civil engineers and designers for professional growth.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple design teams in daily operations.
• Develop staffing needs and distribute work to balance workload.
• Monitor project health (scope, schedule, budget) and report results.
• Oversee client relationships and coordination with municipal/regulatory entities.
