Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Civil Engineering Group Manager to lead our Civil/Municipal practice. You will manage site development and land development projects across the Midwest, mentoring staff and guiding design teams.

You will oversee design quality, coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies, review construction documents, and drive project performance, schedule, and budget while fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license in OH, MI, PA or IN is required.
• 8+ years of civil engineering experience with leadership.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is required.
• Experience preparing stormwater reports and designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the office’s civil engineering team for land and site development.
• Oversee project execution, budgeting, and schedules.
• Mentor engineers and designers for career development.
• Plan and deliver private development projects including site layout and utilities.
• Review construction documents, cost estimates, and bid packages.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards in design calculations.
• Develop client relationships and coordinate with municipalities/regulators.
• Support business development and proposal efforts.
• Foster collaboration and technical excellence across the office.
