Job summary

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is seeking a Civil Engineering Group Manager in Indianapolis, IN. You will lead the design and execution of site development projects across the Midwest, guiding teams and providing technical leadership to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities include staffing, project coordination, budget oversight, and client relationship management. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates within the Columbus, OH area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; PE license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive civil/site development leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of site development, grading, utilities, stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple design teams in daily operations.
• Develop staffing needs and distribute work across teams.
• Monitor project health: scope, schedule, budget.
• Manage group workload and billable hours.
• Maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify staffing needs with leaders.
• Mentor staff and support office growth.
• Prepare proposals and manage contracts.
• Ensure on-time delivery of tasks.
• Coordinate with MSG staff across services.
