The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Civil Engineering Group Manager to lead our site and land development projects in the Midwest.

This on-site role requires directing design teams, mentoring staff, and coordinating with multiple services to deliver high-quality outcomes. The position offers a base salary range of $140,000–$180,000 with relocation assistance and a potential sign-on component.

Qualifications

• Experience leading civil/site development projects.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule and budget.
• Mentor civil engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across services.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple design teams in daily operations.
• Develop staffing needs and distribute work to teams to balance workload.
• Work with project managers to monitor project health (scope, schedule, budget).
• Monitor group workload and billable hours.
• Ensure client relationships are strong and healthy.
• Coordinate with MSG staff across surveying, environmental, geotechnical, and other services.
