This role involves hands-on design leadership, staff mentoring, and coordinating with multidisciplinary offices while ensuring projects meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.

The role includes relocation assistance if needed and a focus on delivering robust engineering solutions across the Midwest region.

Qualifications

• Lead and oversee civil engineering teams delivering land/site development projects.
• Plan, staff, and manage design teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor engineers and designers for technical and career growth.
• Collaborate with line leaders to address staffing, training, and resource needs.
• Build client relationships and ensure project approvals and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple design teams in daily operations.
• Develop staffing needs and distribute work to balance workloads.
• Monitor project health (scope, schedule, budget) with PMs.
• Oversee workload, utilization, and billable hours.
• Maintain strong client relationships and regulatory coordination.
• Mentor staff and drive office growth and process improvements.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and manage projects to timely delivery.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary MSG teams (Surveying, Environmental, Geotech, etc.).
• Support business development and client relationship growth.
• Foster collaboration and technical excellence across the office.
