Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, contracts and drawings for water, wastewater, roadway paving and drainage projects under the direction of a licensed engineer and senior staff.
• Assist in site investigations and manage the construction phase of capital improvement projects.
• Conduct pre-bid meetings and provide answers about sequencing, safety and materials.
• Provide oversight to engineering technicians and city surveyors; train staff in research, drafting and design.
• Interact with other City departments and outside agencies; respond to inquiries from the public and contractors.
