Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking an executive-level Utilities Director to lead the department’s water, wastewater, and plant operations. You will plan, direct and oversee capital projects, budgets, and staffing, ensuring efficient service delivery and compliance with state regulations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and at least five years of utilities management experience, preferably in municipal settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible utilities management experience and administrative responsibility.
• Preference given to municipal experience as Director or Assistant Director of Utilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct department services and activities including water and sewer line maintenance and utility plant operations; policy development.
• Manage development and implementation of departmental goals, objectives, and priorities.
• Oversee capital improvement program and budget administration.
• Coordinate with other departments and outside agencies; provide staff support to City Management.
