Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to work independently and with teams on land development projects in the Portland/Boise area.

You will perform engineering analysis, calculations, exhibits, and construction documents under the guidance of a Senior Engineer/Project Manager. The role requires PE licensure, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to manage scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Local project resume and experience strongly preferred.
• Experience directing junior staff in execution of project deliverables is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in preparing, grading, drainage, wet utility, street improvements, and other civil engineering design documents.
• Utilizes technologies in development of three-dimensional models of civil systems and provides markups for junior engineers/designers.
• Prepares and revises documentation in various civil phases.
• Participate in coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Prepares construction items quantity estimates and basic opinion of cost analysis.
• Assists senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
• May lead the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
• Performs and oversees the performance of calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Utilizes advanced techniques for the analysis of specialized civil elements.
• Participates in constructability review.
• Conducts quality assurance and quality control on projects.
• Assists in the development of new standards and specifications for the civil group.
• Works on multiple projects.
