Job summary

Stantec seeks an experienced Sr. Civil Engineer to support a range of land development and municipal infrastructure projects for public agency clients. You will provide technical oversight, mentor team members, and lead design efforts from feasibility through construction close-out.

The role focuses on grading, drainage, hydrology, and roadway improvements, with opportunity to influence projects across the western U.S. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Denver/Boise areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive and collective experience including task management and construction engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills related to delivery of infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of project scoping, deliverables, tasks, scheduling, resources and budgets.
• Experience with site development projects and civil systems.
• Experience with codes and construction standards of key public authorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and managing project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Support Project Managers and Team Leaders on grading, drainage, and road/utility design documents.
• Prepare construction quantity estimates and cost analyses.
• Lead teams delivering preliminary engineering, final design, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with design teams, subconsultants, owners, and contractors.
• Perform field work and site observations as needed.
