Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, is seeking a Designer to provide technical and hands-on support in creating design deliverables for electrical substations, site layout, grading, stormwater, and related civil construction tasks.

You will coordinate with Transmission, Distribution, and Survey teams, apply Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, and ensure safety, quality, and timely project delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology preferred.
• Associate degree or CAD certificate required.
• Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation and stormwater analysis programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design for electrical substations, permitting support, site layout, grading design, and related civil construction support.
• Conduct transmission right-of-way access improvement design including culvert sizing and stormwater analysis.
• Develop and modify design criteria utilizing industry standards and client specifications.
• Coordinate design activities with other departments (Transmission, Distribution, Survey).
• Maintain a high level of quality and responsiveness in alignment with Pickett’s standards.
