Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, is seeking a Civil Designer in Raleigh, NC to support electrical substations, site layout, grading, and civil construction tasks on-site. The role emphasizes CAD-driven design, cross-department coordination, and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a CAD-focused degree with 5–7+ years of experience and strong knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and stormwater analysis tools, along with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology preferred.
• Associate degree or CAD certificate required.
• 5–7+ years of hands-on design experience required.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation and stormwater analysis software.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design for civil construction, site layout and grading.
• Coordinate design activities with Transmission, Distribution and Survey teams.
• Develop design criteria using industry standards and client specs.
• Ensure high quality and adherence to Pickett’s standards.
• Provide permitting support and survey coordination.
