Job summary

NELSON Worldwide, LLC is seeking an Architect to lead multiple projects in the Civic & Justice Practice. You will guide design through programming, master planning, schematic design, design development, and construction documents, plus construction administration as part of a project team.

Experience in civic and justice projects is required, with an architectural license in at least one state. Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit and strong leadership, communication, and collaboration are essential

Qualifications

• Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials, and supplier suitability.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules.
• Knowledge of building regulations, life safety, and ADA requirements.
• Knowledge of the construction process and CD production.
• Proficiency with listed software for CD/CA.
• Understanding of LEED and Well requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team with design and technical questions.
• Prepare and oversee Concept through Construction Documents.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Prepare meeting agendas and notes.
• Review RFIs and shop drawings.
• Oversee QA procedures and code compliance.
