Job summary

The City of New York's Civic Engagement Commission seeks a Community Coordinator to provide day-to-day operational and logistical support for the VLA Program in Brooklyn. You will help plan, coordinate, track, and execute activities with vendors, partners, and grantees to ensure equitable access to language resources.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college with two years of related community work experience.
• High school graduation or equivalent with six years of related experience.
• Equivalent to the first option or second option with at least one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide project coordination and operational support for the VLA Program, keeping projects organized, on schedule, and well documented.
• Support election operations, trainings, outreach initiatives, and other program activities to ensure successful execution.
• Coordinate with vendors, community partners, and grantees by tracking deliverables, maintaining documentation, and facilitating communication.
• Assist with planning and execution of meetings, trainings, and public events, including logistical coordination and on-site support.
• Support administration of the VLA microgrant program, including application tracking, recordkeeping, and grant administration activities.
• Collect, organize, and maintain program data and records to support reporting, presentations, and continuous program improvement.
• Assist with communications and outreach efforts to promote voter language resources and civic participation to VLA language communities.
• Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
