Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) seeks a Senior Operations Manager for CityWalk BHAM. The role oversees day-to-day operations, coordinates event logistics, and collaborates with senior leadership on safety and long-term planning.

You’ll lead staff, manage budgets, and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a large outdoor venue. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, facility maintenance planning, and adherence to city-wide standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years related to knowledge, experience, and skills public space management, parks, attractions or similar outdoor venues.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred in public facility management, business administration, parks and/or recreation management or related field.
• Industry certification(s) strongly preferred: CPRP, CPRE; Valid Alabama Driver License.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement and regularly refine operating plans for City Walk.
• Lead budgeting and resource allocation alongside senior management.
• Coordinate staffing for security, custodial, maintenance to ensure a safe environment for visitors.
• Oversee daily schedules of operational team members and ensure event demands are met.
• Ensure standards for service quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained.
• Collaborate with CEO and Directors on facility rentals, event coordination, safety and long-term plans.
