Bristol Public Schools is seeking a City-Wide Paraprofessional for the Learning Center at Northeast Middle School. You will assist with small group and individual pupil instruction under the supervision of a special education teacher.

The role includes classroom support, behavior management, IEP implementation, and supervision during recess and lunch. Requires a high school diploma or GED and may involve Parapro Assessment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; two years of college credit or an associate's degree, or successful completion of Parapro Assessment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and work with money, weight, volume and distance.

Responsabilités

• Assist students with instruction under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Assist teacher in maintaining discipline.
• Escort students between rooms and supervise during recess and lunch.
• Assist with instructional activities and copying materials.
• Assist with filing and paperwork.
• Alert teachers to problems observed.
