Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of college credit or an associate's degree or paraprofessional assessment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard software.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with instruction under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Maintain discipline and supervise students during recess and lunch.
• Assist teacher with instructional activities and materials.
• Escort students between rooms and prepare paperwork for IEPs.
