Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Automation Engineer to support build, test, signing, and deployment pipelines in a distributed cloud-enabled environment. You will sign artifacts across Windows, Linux, and Mac, manage certificates, and design robust signing frameworks while collaborating with global teams to accelerate secure software delivery.

The role emphasizes Python scripting, Groovy/Jenkins pipelines, and strong PKI knowledge in a fast-paced, remote-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Deep knowledge of encryption/PKI concepts as they relate to code signing.
• Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipeline development (Jenkinsfiles, shared libraries).
• Proven capabilities operating, administering, and troubleshooting CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with configuration tools such as Ansible, Chef, and or Salt.
• Experience automating virtualization environments (e.g. VMWare).
• Familiarity with public cloud APIs (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with build/release engineering and software development lifecycles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development teams to support and improve build/release processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage code signing for binaries across Windows, Linux, and Mac, including various signing workflows.
• Manage certificate lifecycles: issuance, renewal, revocation, storage.
• Design, implement, and maintain encryption, certificate, and code signing frameworks and tooling.
• Identify opportunities to improve operation of existing systems.
• Deliver end-to-end improvements from design to finished product for internal customers.
• Produce clear, maintainable code with minimal oversight and document usage.
• Perform code reviews and participate in on-call rotations.
• Troubleshoot and remediate build, packaging, and deployment issues.
• Collaborate with global teams across time zones.
