Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in an outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, design recovery plans, and fabricate custom orthoses.

The role involves supervising therapists and assistants, coordinating with hand surgeons and physicians, and delivering comprehensive post-surgical and injury rehab services. A strong focus on patient education and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care for hand/upper-extremity rehab
• Provide custom splinting and orthotic fabrication
• Directs and supervises therapy assistants, students, and support staff
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehabilitation cases including scar management and return-to-work rehab
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, therapists and other healthcare professionals
