Job summary

Salvation Army in Fort Worth seeks a Seasonal Full Time coordinator to recruit, train, and supervise bell ringers for Christmas kettle programs. You will plan schedules, ensure coverage across sites, and maintain records of hours and donations.

Valid driver’s license required and prior kettle fundraising experience preferred. Responsibilities include driving to kettle locations, coordinating volunteers, and reporting on program status.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year experience with kettle fundraising preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interview, recruit, screen and select bell ringing staff and volunteers.
• Plan, schedule, and assign work of staff and volunteers; ensure adherence to policies.
• Maintain contact with staff and volunteers; address questions or problems.
• Prepare and maintain records and databases for kettle income; report status of the kettle program.
• Plan and coordinate special events; recognize workers with plaques and certificates; maintain event records.
• Meet with community leaders and organizations to discuss Salvation Army needs.
• Drive Salvation Army vehicle to kettle locations to deliver and collect kettles and supplies.
• Assist with counting, recording and depositing kettle funds.

• Plans, schedules, and assigns work of staff and volunteers; instructs in proper methods and procedures; checks and approves work in progress and upon completion to ensure accuracy and completeness as well as compliance with Salvation Army policies and procedures.
• Maintains contact with staff and volunteers throughout their service; answers questions, concerns or problems; recognizes workers through correspondence by mail, in person or by phone.
• Prepares and maintains up-to-date records and databases for daily kettle income information; prepares reports regarding the status of the kettle program; provides staff and volunteers with documentation of the hours worked.
• Plans, coordinates, and prepares special events; prepares plaques and certificates of recognition; prepares and maintains special event records for future reference.
• Meets with community leaders and organizations and discusses Salvation Army needs.
