Job summary

NSA’s Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), support the SIGINT mission by analyzing, translating, and evaluating foreign language material. The LADP lasts up to three years, offering intensive training and multiple operational tours across offices.

Applicants must have a degree and ILR 2/2 in reading/listening for the target language (Chinese). Roles may lead to LADP or direct hire; salary ranges from $50,460 to $133,142 and a standard full-time schedule, with testing

Qualifications

• ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language (Chinese).
• Minimum degree and 1 year of relevant experience in language or related fields.
• Experience in intelligence analysis, cyber, or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, translate key foreign language material and reports.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts to inform analysis.
• Apply new techniques to synthesize large data sets and sources.
• Produce written assessments and briefings for policymakers and partners.
• Work independently and with NSA teams across the IC to support mission goals.
