Job summary

NSA’s Linguists, MDLAs, provide analysis, transcription, and translation of foreign language materials to support SIGINT missions. The LADP offers an intensive, up-to-three-year training path with multiple operational tours across offices, excluding language teaching.

Applicants should reflect experience in/with foreign languages, notably Chinese, in their resume. MDLAs may be considered for LADP or direct-hire roles in analytic mission offices, with opportunities to broaden analytic

Qualifications

• Degree in any field is acceptable.
• At least one year of relevant experience in: translating/transcribing or other analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information for policymakers and military leaders.
• Research cultures and geopolitical context to understand their operations.
• Apply new techniques to synthesize large volumes of data and disparate sources.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights.
• Work independently and collaborate with analysts in research and reporting.
